A wonderful lesson in democracy is the story of how students at an Oakland school brought about the holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It should inspire us to focus on things of value, and to give our time to seeing our goals accomplished. These students lived what Dr. King encouraged in people of all races. It is a story for twelve months of the year, not just Black History month in February.
