Early Childhood News & Resources

For this week’s Tuesday Treat, I was moved to write about a wonderful new site, with a wealth of valuable information for moms, dads, teachers, and anyone involved in a child’s life. The site is called Early Childhood News & Resources (ECN&R), and it’s owned and operated by Shara Lawrence-Weiss, who is also the owner of Mommy Perks and Personal Child Stories.

ECN&R holds the belief that every life is valuable and that every child deserves to be loved, appreciated and properly cared for. Their goal is to provide readers with valuable data that will aid in the healthy care-taking of their children/grandchildren/family/friends.

With that, ECN&R provides information on topics such as:

Activities – Did you know March is National Craft Month? Shara’s outlined numerous craft ideas for kids that will keep their hands busy, and their creative minds flowing.

Fatherhood – “The Importance of Father Involvement” written by Chris Singer is a must read! Chris examines and gives case studies of  how father involvement makes a big, positive difference in a child. Did you know that preschoolers who spend more time playing with their dads are often more sociable when entering primary school?

MotherhoodAs the traveling season is rapidly approaching, Sue Adair, Director of Education for Goddard Systems, Inc., has some wonderful tips and advice on how to best prepare for that long ride in the car, plane, train, or wherever your family trip takes you. And she even breaks it down by age group.

Self-EsteemSelf-esteem cupcakes were made for the first day back from spring break. Read the heart-breaking story of what prompted this great idea! Kids can always use some encouragement, and Bingzy Notes from Bing Note are a great way to add a pleasant surprise to a child’s day.

Brain Development - Did you know that a baby’s brain is developing, inside the womb, from the moment of conception? Shara puts this all into perspective, as she shows some fascinating 4D pictures of the development of the brain inside the womb.

Other topics include: Childcare, Gifted, Special Needs, Health, Social/Emotional, Humor, and Literacy. So as I said, ECN&R has a plethora of information, which families, caregivers, and teachers can all benefit from.

So go ahead and check out Early Childhood News & Resources! I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Yours truly,

Lisa Love &

The Bing Note Team!
