Controlling Sites For Kids
By Eric Richards • Apr 6th, 2009 • Category: tuesday treatsEver wanted to control what sites your kids are accessing on the web? Well here is a cool little add-on for those that use Firefox as their browser. And best of all, it’s free!
Introducing Glubble, a free parental control add-on for the Firefox web browser. Sorry Internet Explorer users, the extension doesn’t currently support it. Stay tuned, I will let you know if one becomes available.
With Glubble, kids can only see “family friendly” sites. What’s interesting is that you as a parent, teacher, or caretaker get to determine what sites are “family friendly”.
Lets say your little one wants to access a site, but it’s not currently approved. They simply send you a quick request and you can approve or deny access to the site.
Oh, and by the way, it will also filter search results from say Google or Yahoo. Very cool.
Give it a try and let us know what you think about Glubble.
Another Tuesday Treat from me to you.
