Do you have the daily task of getting your kids to do the routine things they should be doing without being told?
Do you get exasperated and end up yelling at them? (Okay, you don't have to answer that one.)
We know that isn't the relationship you want to have with your kids. But, it gets frustrating, aggravating and tiring to constantly be repeating the do's, when your kids don't! You know what I mean.
That's why www.handipoints.com is such a lifesaver for parents and kids. It provides a fun way for kids to earn rewards for completing chores, homework, or whatever you designate.
It takes the work of creating chore charts out of your hands. It involves your kids in a way that will give them a sense of independence and teach them to assume responsibility.
When anyone questions rewarding kids, I think, yeah, would you go to work if you didn't get that paycheck?
Take a look. Man, this is a good one! Another Tuesday Treat for you.

Keep Kids Healthy-Avoid Burns
Avoid burns in children by being extra cautious and following simple but sensible rules of the house.

credit: g-hatHealthy children. Of course that is what we all want. We want the best for our children and we consider it our job to see that they are healthy and protected from harm.
One area of fear in many parents is that their children may receive burns. It is a reasonable fear because there are many ways a child can be burned. We want to be extra cautious and here are some reminders:
- Heating baby bottle or baby food in a microwave could leave hot spots from uneven heating and could burn your baby's mouth. A safer idea is to warm the milk bottles in hot, but not boiling water for five minutes, then test the milk on the inside of your wrist. Sure it may be more trouble, but your baby is worth it.
- While you are grilling or cooking on the stove, make sure the kids stay at least three feet away. It is a kids' no-go zone for safety.
- Pot handles sticking out can be bumped and disaster follows. So, keep the handles turned toward the inside of the stove so children can't grab them or bump into them by accident.
- Watch those hot cups of coffee or other liquids around your children. Carrying a baby and a hot drink is just asking for trouble.
- In three seconds a child can suffer a third-degree burn in 140-degree bathwater, so if possible, adjust your water heater to a maximum of 120 degrees.
In other words, common sense is a good rule of thumb. Take extra care and keep those precious kids healthy.

UPTOTEN

Moms & Dads!
I have been thoroughly entertained by the interactive learning tools found on the site UpToTen, (www.uptoten.com). UpToTen offers a warm and welcoming play-area for the early learner. Children will love the animated coloring sheets, and will gain a wealth of knowledge as they color the well designed pages.
The young learner will be amused by the high-spirited and provocative dialogue expressed by the many different characters. The catchy songs will stick with them and will make learning even more fun.
Some of UpToTen's prize-winning learning activities are:
- artistic activities
- creativity
- decision making
- parts and wholes
- computer skills
- memory skills
- fine motor skills
Try this special website (www.uptoten.com) and I think you'll be pretty impressed. The best critic will be your child of course, and my bet is that it will be an immediate hit with him or her.
So enjoy this Tuesday treat, every day of the week!
Yours Truly,
The Bing Note Team
