How fragile.
Will they still be around for your children's children to appreciate?
Is there anything we can do, or is it worth the bother? Does it really matter if all of these magnificent creatures disappear from the face of the earth?
We know the answer is yes. The rainforest, the wildlife and plants we'll never see, are vital to survival on planet Earth. Scientists tell us that thousands of delicate species are being lost every year. Our ecological system lies in the balance.
Help your children to become aware and protective of the world they inhabit.
Some suggestions:
- Support organizations that actively work to make a difference in saving our land and our animals.
- Teach your kids from an early age to value and respect our natural world.
- Introduce them to books and magazines that teach about our role in wildlife preservation and land conservation.
- Visit zoos and wildlife parks
- Watch television programs that explore the animal world: ocean, air, and land.
- Plan trips to local, state, and national parks.
Encourage a love affair with nature.
