Serious Questions:Kids and Heroes

credit:tsevisWhere do children look to find their heroes? With so many in public life falling in disgrace, why shouldn't they be cynical? Will this generation ever trust anyone?

It is disheartening, but only if we expect people in public life to be their role models. I think it is more important now than ever for parents to become the examples to their children.

None of us is perfect, but that is no excuse for giving in to the lowest moral values out there.

Honesty, integrity, loyalty, faithfulness: if children can't find these moral guideposts in their parents, then how will they ever aspire to higher standards? How can we expect them to become what they have never seen? What do you want for your kids?

Are you a hero?
