T-Ball, An Experience for Moms
By The Schoolmarm • Jan 22nd, 2008 • Category: parenting
When I first saw my five year old child dressed in a sports uniform, swinging at a ball on a tee, I felt like crying. My baby seemed so grown up, so independent.
Like every mother in the crowd who was focused on her own child, I only saw him. It didn’t matter if the ball went two feet or if he sat down in the outfield because
he was daydreaming, I was filled with pride and amazement at this miracle in my life, this wonderful child.
I watched him progress through every league, even to pitching in college. He was a talented athlete and I was always proud of him, but nothing touched me quite the same as the first time I saw that little guy bravely standing all alone at the tee, for all the world to see. So cool.
Mom or Dad, tell me about a special moment with your child. The Schoolmarm will give you equal time.
