People are excluded every day in our society for one reason or the other. Children need guidance to realize they are being cruel when they refuse acceptance to anyone. Hopefully our new president will help lead the way.

Children may be concerned for all the bad news they hear. Let them hear encouraging words as we start a new period in our history with President Obama. Help them to understand how blessed they are to live in a democracy.

The American people have chosen a new president. Let's all appreciate the diversity his presidency offers and what it means to us, as a people.
