Parents, do you tell your kids you love them?
No one is ever too young or too old to be told by their parents that they are loved.
Some parents find it hard to say “I love you” to their children. Many were never told by their parents so it doesn’t come naturally to them.A father may say about his daughter, “She knows I love her, I don’t have to say it.”
What he is missing is how much it would mean to his daughter to hear those words come from her father, and how it would help her in expressing love to her own children some day. The same is true of a son. He needs to hear it from his dad, as well as his mom, and to learn that it is acceptable to say what is in your heart.
Saying “I love you” shouldn’t be reserved just for the youngest child, but the oldest one needs to hear it too. No one is ever too young or too old to be told by their parents that they are loved.
Enjoy being affectionate with your kids,
