Be Our Guest: Post on Bing Note
Thank you for interest in writing a guest post for Bing Note.
To help you with your writing and us with getting your post ready for publishing on Bing Note, we’ve put together a few guidelines and suggestions.
Please Note: What follows are not hard and fast rules. Ultimately, we want people to write in their own voice. However, the following might help your post “fit” better with Bing Note, and get the attention it deserves.
Topics
Posts work best on Bing Note that are relevant to our overall topic – Inspiring children to be the best that they can be. Of course there is a lot of room to move in this overall topic, and really anything that helps parents, teachers, and guardians better communicate with kids will be helpful for our readers.
Our readers love practical tips. Anything you can include that is a “how to”, or something they can go back to their blog and try out immediately will be greatly appreciated. Even more theoretical posts that have something readers can “do” rather than just “know” is good.
Unique Content
Unless previously negotiated, we are assuming the post you’re writing is exclusively for the use of Bing Note. While you’re more than welcome to write on the same topic elsewhere, we hope the posts appearing on Bing Note do not appear in the same form elsewhere.
Editing
Please note that we do edit posts that appear on Bing Note. We rarely heavily edit them, but it’s not unusual for us to change a title, re-work an opening or conclusion, or correct grammar/spelling/typos.
Don’t be offended by this. We’re just trying to make it as successful a post as possible, and we know what generally works well with our audience.
Occasionally, we’ll send a post back to you the author with suggested additions, omissions, or changes. This is generally if we feel the post could be further enhanced in ways that go beyond some basic editing.
Our hope is that the post you write hits the mark with our readership – good for you as the author, good for Bing Note readership, and as a result also good for the blog as a whole.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us via the form below, and we’ll do our best to answer them promptly.
Thanks for your involvement with Bing Note, and happy writing!
